I’m Diana Fahmie and I’m running to protect the ecology, character, and charm of Dania Beach while planning responsibly for the future.
I’m a South Florida native, a wife, mother of 4, grandmother of 3, a Dania Beach homeowner, small business owner, and a lifelong advocate for protecting our coastal environment.

Diana has spent over 20 years working in real estate across South Florida, giving her a deep understanding of development, infrastructure challenges, and the importance of protecting neighborhood character.
Born in Miami Beach and raised partly in the Florida Keys, Diana developed a lifelong appreciation for the coastal environment, especially the mangroves that help define the identity of our region.
Today she lives in Dania Beach with her husband Chris, their son Jonathan, their rescue cats, and three dogs.
Her campaign is built on one simple idea:

Why This Matters to Me
I was born in Miami Beach and raised partly in the Florida Keys. I grew up on 'the water's edge' between Marathon, Miami, Miami Beach and also the Florida Hammocks in the Redlands. In college, I took a summer class-- Ecology of South Florida, and that was where I learned the science behind and importance of our wetlands.
Today, I am so lucky to live in Dania Beach with my husband Chris, son Jonathan, and our family of rescue pets in our 1960's 'old-Florida' home in Melaleuca Gardens.
I feel it is important to balance progress with preservation. I also believe in the city's strategic master plan. I am confident I will be an asset to the residents and the city when it comes to ideas and problem solving to help bring The Dania Beach Vision 2036 to fruition. . . "our hometown feeling, our world-class beach, our unique beauty, our sense of personal safety, our vibrant activity centers-sense of space, our great neighborhoods, our thriving business community and strong local economy, and our parks and leisure opportunities. . ."
